In the first round, half the Big-10 teams invited to bowl games played: three playoff games and three lower tier Bowl Games. In the first weekend of playoff games, Penn State wore its "Generations of Greatness" alternate set at home and Ohio State wore its all-scarlet outfit at home. Indiana went mostly all white in loss at Notre Dame. All three games were won easily by the favorites.
In the second set of games, Rutgers and USC wore their standard road uniform and Nebraska wore its standard home set. Rutgers found a way to lose, and USC found a way to win. Nebraska won a workmanlike game.
The Semifinal games involved the #2 and #3 Big10 teams.
The National Championship game had Ohio State as the road team and they opted for their Heritage Stripe alternate jersey, with special gold Nike logo to pair with game patch.
