Week 12: November 16, 2024

Several of the teams who were on the road over Halloween, pulled out their black costumes this week: Both of the purple teams went all-black with purple and gold highlights: Washington debuted their "Eclipse/World of Warcraft" uniform; Northwestern reinvigorated its annual "Gothic" all-black uniform. Maryland wore a vibrant yellow jersey with their black.

Oregon went for black and white, while MSU went retro stormtrooper with Gruff helmet logo.

USC pulled out its 1972 throwback. Did you even notice? The numbers and shoulder stripes are slightly different than current look.

The other teams were classic and good looking, but I wish Rutgers and UCLA wore colored pants. I really only like white pants if the helmet is white.

Week 11: November 9, 2024

Being the weekend before Veterans Day, several teams highlighted the military. Iowa draped their Hawkeye logo, and Rutgers their R logo in the flag. Both, kinda meh if I'm being honest. Indiana used flag themed gloves as well.

UCLA wore their throwback lightER blue uniforms with no helmet logo, while Oregon brought out its most traditional throwback-ish combo this season. Ironically Maryland (to UA as Oregon is to Nike) went futuristic with shiny/puffy looking color-changing numbers and logos on all-white.

Week 10: November 2, 2024

It's a couple days past Halloween, but a few teams pulled out appropriate costumes. Illinois went full-pumpkin in all-orange. Their helmet was a military appreciation helmet with 10 stars that represent football players killed in action. Iowa and Michigan State went "blackout" while Oregon pulled out its new "Warp Speed" all-white with chrome set.

Week 9: October 26, 2024

Lots of white pants, black, yellow and red, with precious little blue or green.

But seriously, the only new look was Minnesota who did a throwback helmet that mimics their 1960 helmet.

Week 8: October 19, 2024

Purdue, in its Friday night tilt against Oregon "flipped the script" which was possibly an attempt to reference Oregon's all-black uniforms from the previous big week? The Boilermakers went with a  stripped-back version of their black uniforms and added a script logo. The only script flipped was the fact that they didn't score any points.

Illinois pulled out its much-anticipated 100th anniversary Red Grange uniforms against Michigan. More info here. This is one of the more successful leather-helmet throwbacks I have seen. The color combo in this game was nice since the Michigan blue complimented the blue/tan of Illinois.

Michigan State went mono-green for Homecoming, and Maryland went mono-red.
Nebraska and Indiana  provided a nice red/white opposites matchup, that only would have been better with Nebraska wearing red pants. Wisconsin (which looked like a twin of Nebraska) went mono-white in a nice contrast to the purple Northwestern. UCLA wore white pants which looked surprisingly good against red Rutgers.

Week 7: September 12, 2024

A very Black-and-White week in the Big 10. A huge #2 vs #3 showdown in Eugene this week with the Ducks in all-black against Ohio State in mostly all-white. They were joined by Maryland in mono-black while the Terp's opponent Northwestern opted for black in place of purple.

Illinois used their alternate star/number helmet this week paired with all-blue. Minnesota went stormtrooper at UCLA. All-white also encompassed Penn State and Wisconsin and mostly Purdue.

Week 6: October 5, 2024

The only two unusual outfits this week were Oregon and tOSU. Ohio State donned their all-gray uniforms, while Rutgers and Michigan State their all-white stormtrooper uniforms. In the almost-mono camp, Oregon wore its special "Stomp Cancer" yellow uniform, Minnesota went maroon in their matchup with similarly-colored USC, Washington went purple, Indiana went white, while Northwestern leaned into its black and purple. Nebraska and Wisconsin were near virtual clones in white-red-white.
